Do you accept insurance?

With regard to insurance, I don’t do any insurance billing myself anymore. Insurance companies often demand sensitive confidential information, treatment plans, and a diagnosis that could be a barrier to receiving health insurance in the future. They also often have a limit to how many sessions they provide. As I aim to spend my time and effort helping my clients and not dealing with insurance companies, as well as to protect the privacy of my clients, I have found it beneficial to stop working with insurance companies and try to make therapy affordable to my clients in other ways. If you would like to utilize your insurance plan, I am happy to provide you with documentation for your insurance company if they offer reimbursement for counseling sessions. Many of my clients have received full or partial reimbursement for therapy services depending on the particular insurance carrier and plan.

What is your rate for a therapy session?

My regular fee for a one hour therapy session (50 minutes) is $150 due at the time of our session. I accept cash, check, Venmo, and all major credit cards. If you have an HSA, I can also accept this form of payment. I also offer sliding scale for those who cannot afford my normal rate.
